The Mercure Paris Voltaire Quartier Bastille is a modern 3 star hotel situated in the Bastille area (11th Arrondissement) that first opened to guests in September 2010. The hotel combines modern and Baroque influences in its design, and is located in an elegant and charming residential quarter full of Parisian joie de vivre. The hotel is strategically positioned halfway between the Pere-Lachaise Cemetery and the grand Bastille Opera, and is surrounded by a wealth of restaurants, cafes and bars. Just a stones throw away is the Place de la Nation, as well as the Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris. There is easy access to the rest of Paris via the Voltaire Metro Station, which is literally just 50m from the hotel. The Art Deco inspired rooms are standard Parisian size, functionally furnished and come with all the basics needed for a pleasant stay.
